Jessica Swanson

Jessica Swanson is a doctoral student in the research phase of her studies at Aspen University. She is a music teacher in the San Bernardino City Unified School District. As a musician, Jessica regularly performs around the Inland Empire and particularly enjoys her participation with the Redlands Theater Festival as a musician, Props Master, and Set Painter. She is an artist and creates using multiple media. Jessica has been an animal rescuer for over a decade and is currently fostering five special-needs kittens. Jessica is honored to be the conductor of the Empire Wind Ensemble.

Katherine Hartman

Katherine is a bassoonist and contrabassoonist from Flagstaff, Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance and a Graduate Certificate of Performance at Northern Arizona University under the instruction of Dr. Kent Moore, before moving to California to pursue a Masters of Music Performance with Dr. Carolyn Beck. Some of her notable accomplishments include co-founding the Celebrare Wind Quintet, performing with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, and making the student substitute list for Redlands Symphony Orchestra.
